Mid-Autumn Festival experience event

On the 29th of September 2023, Tourism Confucius Classroom organized Mid-Autumn Festival experience event. Students of UDG attended the lecture and participated in the workshop to make Mid-autumn lanterns.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the traditional Chinese festivals, which is celebrated every year on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month of the Chinese lunar calendar.

For Chinese people, Mid-Autumn Festival means family reunion and peace. The festival is celebrated when the moon is believed to be the biggest and fullest. To the Chinese, a full moon is a symbol of harvest, happiness, and family reunion.  The main traditional celebrations include eating mooncakes, having dinner with family, appreciating the full moon, and lighting lanterns.
