UDG has launched the first university chatbot in Montenegro
The University of Donja Gorica has launched the first university chatbot in Montenegro, developed with the aim of improving access to information and enhancing communication with prospective students, parents, and the wider public. This innovation allows users to quickly and easily receive answers to frequently asked questions, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

It works by recognizing key words in messages and providing accurate and relevant real-time responses related to application deadlines, tuition fees, available study programs, and other important topics related to studying at UDG.
The idea for the chatbot originated from an analysis of communication with applicants during previous enrollment cycles, where an increase in inquiries via social media, email, and phone was noted. In many cases, the questions were identical or very similar, which created an opportunity for developing a digital assistant.
In addition to the new digital assistant, UDG has for years been developing and maintaining UDG Inside, a student information guide available online that serves as a comprehensive resource for studying at the University of Donja Gorica. The guide includes detailed information on all study programs, admission requirements, study rules, teaching staff, student services, and extracurricular activities. UDG Inside thus represents a strong foundation for quality student information, while the chatbot serves as its logical continuation—a faster and more interactive communication channel.
The chatbot was developed internally in collaboration with the University’s expert team and represents the first step toward introducing more advanced digital services in the area of student support. The interface is simple and accessible without registration, via mobile phone or computer.
Future plans include further system upgrades, such as integration with the University’s official Instagram profile, expansion of the question database, and the ability to connect directly with student services for additional support.
With this project, the University of Donja Gorica once again demonstrates its commitment to innovation, quality in higher education, and keeping pace with modern technological trends.
