COMPETITION FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS “MEETING CHINA” SHORT VIDEO COMPETITION
COMPETITION
The competition is open to all university students studying in Montenegro, including international students.
Participants are invited to submit a short video on the theme “Meeting China”.

DESCRIPTION
The aim of the competition is to encourage participants to creatively capture and present their experiences of “Meeting China”—whether through cultural activities, everyday encounters with Chinese elements, interactions with Chinese friends, engagement with technology or the arts, travel experiences, or personal imagination and reflection. Videos may be documentary-style or creatively interpreted, showcasing participants’ diverse and multifaceted impressions of China.
TRACKS
- ORIGINAL VIDEO TRACK
Participants create videos filmed and produced entirely by themselves (e.g. vlog, interviews, storytelling, short drama, campus life, culture experience…). 2. EDITING TRACK
Participants may use publicly available online materials (images, sound, audio, open source clips) to create an edited video. All sources must be properly credited.
THEME INSPIRATION
For inspiration, participants may consider (but are not limited to):
- Chinese festivals, cuisine, calligraphy, martial arts, or Chinese-learning experiences
- Encounters with Chinese elements in daily life, including technology, media, film, music, and products
- Communication, cooperation, or friendship with Chinese people • Impressions of Chinese cities, scenery, or travel
- Creative reinterpretations, mixed-media editing, or imaginative storytelling
VIDEO REQUIREMENTS
- Theme: “Meeting China”
- Length: Up to 3 minutes
- Format: MP4, horizontal orientation
- Language: Videos may be in any language. All videos must include English subtitles.
- Quality: 720p or above
- Copyright: Original Track entries must be fully self-filmed and produced, while Editing Track entries must use legally sourced materials and list all sources. • Restrictions: Use of artificial intelligence (AI)–generated video or audio content is not permitted.

AWARDS
UDG China Studies and the Tourism Confucius Classroom at UDG will select awards separately for the two tracks.
Each track will include the following prizes:
- First Prize:200 euros
- Second Prize:150 euros
- Third Prize:100 euros
