On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, the Free Market Road Show (FMRS) took place at the University of Donja Gorica, a series of conferences held across several Eastern and Western European countries as well as in America. FMRS is organized in collaboration with the Austrian Economic Centre and Hayek Institute from Vienna, and this marks the 17th consecutive year that we are proud to host the conference, which brings together world-renowned professors and experts in the fields of economics, business, law, and more. This year, the FMRS tour kicked off at UDG!

The theme of FMRS 2025 was "Pretenses of Knowledge: What Hayek Knew and What We Don't." The participants included well-known economists from Europe and America, including the former Vice-Governor of the Central Bank of Austria, Dr. Barbara Kolm. The opening addresses were given by Dr. Milica Vukotić and Dr. Barbara Kolm. The panel was moderated by Dr. Ivan Jovetić, with panelists Dr. Barbara Kolm, Dr. Krisen Sanchev, Dr. Mitja Steinbacher, and Mr. Ivan Piper.

In a dynamic and interactive discussion about Hayek's ideas, the guests shared their views on the challenges the modern world faces and the opportunities such situations offer with a full amphitheater of UDG students. They emphasized the importance of morals, individual freedoms, spontaneity, the free market, and the importance of freedom of choice, highlighting universal values that, especially today, we should not take for granted.

Traditionally, the speeches of the panelists were followed by numerous questions from the young audience, successfully concluding another Free Market Road Show at the University of Donja Gorica.
