RESEARCH DAY 2025
On April 4, 2025, the University of Donja Gorica hosted the 13th edition of Research Day, the central annual event dedicated to promoting science, research results, and institutional collaboration in Montenegro. This important initiative was organized in partnership with the Statistical Office of Montenegro – MONSTAT and the DAMAR Institute, bringing together a large number of researchers, representatives of institutions, as well as students.


The event was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Ivana Katnić from the Faculty of International Economics, Finance, and Business, while the opening presentations were held by:

- Doc. Dr. Sandra Tinaj, General Manager of UDG,
- Branka Šušić-Radovanović, Assistant Director of MONSTAT,
- Vuk Ćadenović, Director of DAMAR.
- Slađana Remiković and Nataša Vojinović presented the final and preliminary results of the Population and Agriculture Census, highlighting the methodological framework and the significance of these data for public policy-making.
- Hakile Resulbegović presented the platform Anketiraj.me – a modern tool for collecting public opinion data.
- Isidora Šuković presented the Damar Lab project, aimed at strengthening the research infrastructure in Montenegro.

UDG Research Activities Presentations:
- Sanja Nikolić spoke about the development of the National Competence Center for High-Performance Computing (EuroCC2 and EuroCC4SEE).
- Dr. Bojana Mališić presented activities within the international project AL4LIFE – a platform for cooperation among universities in the Western Balkans.
- Ms. Aleksandra Gogić presented the research results within the HORIZON 2020 project STECCI, focused on cultural heritage and its relationship with climate change.
Research Day 2025 once again confirmed that science must occupy a central place in the country’s development policies and strategic plans. The event served as a platform for showcasing concrete results, opened space for connecting research teams, and emphasized the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to contemporary societal and technological challenges.
It is especially important to note that UDG students actively engaged in the event, participating in discussions with researchers, further fostering their interest in academic and scientific careers.
