Tourism Confucius Classroom at UDG in Montenegro held a freshman meeting
On 2nd October, coinciding with China's National Day holiday and the beginning of the new academic year, the Tourism Confucius Classroom at UDG in Montenegro held a freshman meeting. The newly appointed Chinese Director and two Chinese language teachers had cordial communication with Chinese language learners at the university.
Chinese Director Fu Lili shared her feelings when she first arrived in Montenegro and asked the students about their understanding of China and their motivation to learn Chinese. She encourages students to persistently learn Chinese, pointing out that this not only opens up new windows to understand the world, but also brings more possibilities for their future career development.
In the subsequent interactive session, many students actively expressed their views on China. A student mentioned that although his understanding of China is limited, he is well aware that China's development is very rapid, and learning Chinese will bring him more job opportunities, which is also the main reason why he chose to study Chinese. Another student said that she knew yesterday was China's National Day because she had lived in China for a year and a half and expressed her desire to go to China again by learning Chinese well.
Then, two Chinese teachers respectively introduced the Chinese curriculum and content. Ms. Shi Xinwei stimulated students' interest in Chinese language classes and culture by highlighting the cultural differences in names between China and Montenegro. Ms. Lai Peiyu shared the experience of the winners of the "Chinese Bridge" competition visiting China, inspiring everyone to study Chinese hard and have the opportunity to participate in the Summer Camp activities.
This freshman meeting effectively enhanced the interest of new students in learning Chinese and Chinese culture, and further strengthened their confidence in persisting in learning Chinese.
