UDG AT THE VATEL CONVENTION 2025
The University of Donja Gorica continues to confirm its international recognition in the field of higher education and hospitality management. The Vice-Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Milica Vukotić, and the General Manager, Doc. Dr. Sandra Tinaj, participated in this year’s Vatel Convention, a prestigious international event held in Bahrain.
The convention brought together leaders from the hospitality, tourism, and education sectors from over 50 countries, providing a strong platform for exchanging knowledge, experiences, and innovations that are shaping the future of these industries. The focus of the event was on improving educational standards and practices in line with the modern market needs, with particular emphasis on digitalization, sustainability, and the internationalization of hospitality education.
The presence of representatives from the University of Donja Gorica and Vatel Montenegro at this event further solidified Montenegro's position on the international map of higher education in tourism and hospitality. Through panel discussions, bilateral meetings, and strategic sessions, the Vice-Rector and General Manager of UDG presented the vision, progress, and development programs offered by the institution to future leaders in the sector.
The importance of a dual approach to education, combining theoretical knowledge with practical training, which forms the foundation of the Vatel methodology, was emphasized, along with the specific advantages of the education implemented by UDG through cooperation with leading industry partners.
This convention once again confirmed the global significance of the Vatel network and the reputation of UDG as a reliable partner in strengthening professional standards and leadership in the tourism and hospitality sectors. UDG's participation in this event represents an important step toward further internationalizing its programs, enhancing student mobility, and positioning Montenegro as an educational destination in this dynamic field.
