UDG hosts International Book Day Chinese Book Sharing by Tourism Confucius Classroom
On March 3, 2025, the library of the UDG held an International Book Day event and specially invited the Tourism Confucius Classroom to hold a Chinese book sharing session, bringing an immersive experience of Chinese culture to teachers and students.
At the beginning of the event, Confucius Classroom teacher Lai Peiyu recited Hai Zi's "Facing the Sea, Spring Blossoms" and Yu Guangzhong's "Homesickness". She said that Haizi's poetry conveys a beautiful longing for life and the future, while Yu Guangzhong's "Homesickness" deeply expresses the emotions of a wanderer's homesickness, which is in line with her current state of being far away from her hometown and in a foreign country.

Subsequently, the teacher Shi Xinwei, introduced Song lyrics to the teachers and students, and recited Li Qingzhao's "Like a Dream, Last Night's Rain and Wind Suddenly" and "Slow Sound, Searching". She explained that Li Qingzhao was an outstanding female poet of the Song Dynasty. These two poems not only showcase the tremendous changes in her life, but also reflect her profound literary attainments and unique artistic style, earning her the title of "the most talented woman of all
time".

In this event, Confucius Classroom carefully exhibited a rich and diverse collection of Chinese books, covering multiple categories such as the Four Great Classical Novels, Chinese Novels, Chinese Poetry, Chinese History and Culture, and Contemporary China Overview, allowing participants to experience the profound cultural heritage of China up close.

This Chinese book sharing event has deeply impressed the teachers and students of UDG with the unique charm of Chinese poetry and the profoundness of Chinese culture. Haris Muminović, the financial law teacher at the Faculty for Culture and Tourism, said, "Although I can't speak Chinese, I can understand the emotions that poets want to express from the poems. This activity further stimulated their interest in Chinese language and culture, laying a solid foundation for future cultural exchange and learning.
